Most anyone in Barcelona has a love-hate relationship to Les Rambles. It's something of a must. On the street you'll find some markets, kiosks and tons of restaurants that fill up with tourists - in the high season, you're unlikely to see many locals at all. Despite this, it's still the main drag through the city and full all year round.

It's not really a question of should; you will visit Les Ramblas. It can be a remarkable experience, if only for the complete mix of people. The name is plural, as it's actually five different street names, as you slowly crawl towards the port. Be careful of your belongings at night, when the less savory parts of Barcelona life present itself.
Go early morning, while shopkeepers are opening and the street is still fairly quiet.
