Why locals love it
The heat in summer here can be stifling, so everyone, who has not fled to the mountains, take it to the beach. All the beaches here are wonderful, and Mar Bella is no exception. Though not natural, a lot of effort has been taken to make it a nice area to relax.
Why you should visit it
Mar Bella is a nude and gay beach, which translates to a wonderful mix of people - Catalan nudists, displaced from the Barceloneta; guys and girls down from the Gayxample; and a few of the young, hip set, attracted by the relative quiet of the beach.
Special tip
This is also where you can find the full moon parties, a spontaneous party with drumming and fire dancing and the like.
