Why locals love it

Marmalade is the bigger sister restaurant to downtown fave Milk, which easily gets crammed. Expect much of the same - some burgers, some international classics and a nice selection of beers and drinks to keep you going on your sightseeing trip.

Why you should visit it

If the endless bacodillos and the sub-standard kebabs of Raval are finally getting you down, Marmalade might be the ticket - the service is friendly, informal and speedy, and the food very decent for the price. Plus, they also have a pool table for some post-dinner "exercise".

Special tip

Burgers are a bigger focus here than at Milk, and going so far as to home-make ketchup is sign of an ambitious kitchen.

Ok..this is not a negative comment but just to warn people. I love Marmalade brunch, especially their Marmalade's sunday fry (english breakfast) and the frambuesa daiquiris :) but last time I was there, around 3 in the afternoon, brunching, I sat on one of the first tables when you enter the place, and, someone sat beside me (because you'll see that the bench is shared with the table on the front and the one from behind...so the person that sat beside me stole my bag..so discreetly that I just realized it when I wanted to pay and my bag had disappeared... :( It was such a sneaky way and I want to warn you all, take very good care of your stuff, bags, cellphones, etc because in this neighborhood people are experts, unfortunately. Still, Marmalade food and cocktails are much recommended, I just think you should choose to sit a bit more inside the restaurant.
