Why locals love it

Tapas 24 is the brain-child of celebrity chef Carles Abellan, who formerly worked for Ferran Adrià at the world-famous elBulli. In 2001, he opened his first tapas-bar Comerç 24, and in 2007, this one hit Barcelona like a ton of bricks, further cementing Abellans reputation for innovative and modern tapas.

Why you should visit it

Tapas 24 is extremely popular for it's delicate balance between classic and modern. Whereas Comerç set out to modernize our understanding of tapas, Tapas 24 is closer to the originals - yet somehow so far, in terms of quality and taste. Tapas 24 is a great place to taste the talents of Abellan without breaking the bank.

Many thanks for the recommendation, a great place for tapas, breakfast looks great too, menu changes a bit thoroughout the day, tapas available after 12:30, before its breakfast items, Arroz Barcelona after 8:30, yet menu is always in flux, with lots of daily specials. Can get crowded but worth the wait. Great wines, cava and drinks as well.

Loved the place, had a mixture of reasonably priced items and things more on the expensive side. The more on the expensive side items were really fantastic. In Winter on a Friday night, the place was packed and there was a queue to get in.
