Great experience, wonderful people, fun night out with our kids!
What a fun night! Veronica, Cali and the rest of the crew welcomed us and our kids with warmth and kindness into their lovely kitchen, where we spent a fun evening cooking the most delicious meal. Cali was spectacular. I loved learning some of her special family recipes (the meatballs!!), and my kids felt right at home. After 10 days of restaurant eating on our vacation, this was a welcome change of pace. Surprisingly relaxing and full of laughs. Thank you for a fantastic evening! Highly recommend!!

Fun, Food, And Wine
So glad I booked this. Even though I was pretty much dead from being awake for 27 hours of traveling. My mother and I still came out and had a great experience. Our guide, Alejandro, was sociable, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He ran into a hotel lobby to get my mother a map of the city. And he spoke very good English.
We walked to four tapas places. Everything was great. Especially the place with the fried sardines. Those were the highlight. At one of the places they served a charcuterie dish and one of the people in the group didn't eat meat but they accommodated him. Which I thought was cool. Between food and drink we made short stops where he told us about history and facts about the area. Glad we didn't cancel because we had a memorable time!

Tour to hidden gems
Barcelona is bike-friendly so don’t hesitate to explore the city by bicycle -especially if you have a guide like Edu. Being born and raised in Barcelona he gave us an amazing insight into the history of his city, leed us to hidden places - avoiding the overcrowded touristy areas. Pace was easy, city-bikes were in good condition.

Great local guide, excellent food and drinks
We had a really lovely guide Tanit, who took us to some great venues and also shared some history of the town along the way. She had great knowledge of the food and wine and was able to answer any questions. Would recommend this tour!

Four of us took the Barcelona ebike tour. Our guide, Agata met us on time at the appointed location with a smile. The bikes were ready to go with helmets and water for us.
Agata guided us around three separate districts concentrating on the architecture and Gaudi but pointing out interesting sites and facts about the various districts in the old town and the new areas along with some of the history. She was helpful in pointing out places worth going back to and which were better seen with advance reservations as well as making us a list of places to eat and drink after.
The bikes are great. They are in well kept condition, adjust and pedal easy. The electric motor is easy to use and can be used as much or little as wanted. Some of us used the boost, some not. Agata kept a pace everyone could follow, was mindful of traffic and hard to negotiate places, giving us plenty of warning.
I highly recommend this tour as an alternative way of getting a good orientation to the city.

Awesome cooking experience
We did the Spanish Cooking Class a couple of nights ago in Barcelona. It was a great all round Spanish food experience. Starting with the introduction to the large Barcelona Markets - learning about the meat, locals, seafood, spices and taste testing ingredients and of course buying some essential ingredients for our Paella. We then walked to the cooking/dining location - nice walk through central Barcelona. Lovely little authentic restaurant set up where we prepared tapa like starters and then the Paella. We also were served Sangria and told how to make it. He answered all our questions, shared his experience and got to know the group while the coking process took place. We then all enjoyed the amazing food. Would definitely recommend this for an evening in Barcelona!

Must do while in Barcelona!
My friend and I were looking for something unique to do while traveling in Barcelona. We came across Grandma's Cooking and decided to give it a shot! Yves was an excellent host and made sure that our night was incredible. We prepared a traditional Catalan meal with our Grandma and then had an enjoyable dinner. The conversation during dinner was also a highlight for me. I think it is a great way to immerse yourself and experience a different culture. Our Grandma had a great sense of humor, but also made sure that we were learning her cooking style and secrets. I recommend this to anyone looking for something different and fun to try while in Barcelona. We would definitely do this again and any other event run by Yves!

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a short trip to Barcelona. Looking for an alternative tour for seeing the sights I stumbled on Steel Monkey Tours. I booked the tour before we left with Maria, our guide for the day made everything so easy. We missed out the main tourist areas and saw things that we perhaps wouldn't have done on our own! The bike ride it's self was a breeze and we covered a huge area. Maria was a great guide/host and gave us a few names places that were god to eat at, we followed her advice and she was right!

I would recommend this tour to fellow travellers who what to get out of the busy Rumblas and see a few alternative sights!

All in all a great time was had

Thanks Maria

A great photography tour with an excellent guide
Andrei was our guide on a photography tour at 11am on Friday 29th May 2015. We thought we'd simply have more time to take our own photos but we soon realised that our guide was an expert photography teacher. He was not only very knowledgeable on his subject but also on the history of Barcelona and he told us some fascinating stories. We spent a great 3 hours with him during which time we learnt a lot both about the city and also how to take better photos (his approach is very hands-on). He is witty, intelligent and inspiring. We plan to go on his tour again next year when we visit Barcelona again. Highly recommended *****

Amazing Photo Walk Tour w/†Andrei‡!
My husband and I did 2 photo walk tours w/ Andrei while in Barcelona last week. Our first was a night tour during which Andrei worked to help us improve the knowledge of setting our cameras manually and how to take artistic photos that tell a story. In addition, he imparted a lot of interesting stories and facts about Barcelona. Our Gaudi daytime photo tour was equally as fun and insightful. Andrei is so passionate about photography and eager to share his knowledge. We have done other photo tours but these were the best and I am actually using my manual settings and pleased with my results.

Enjoyed, recommended!
First of all it was a hot day when we had our tour and biking was much better than walking as it made it bit cooler. Barcelona is also a big city with lots to see and to do that by biking was a good idea. Our tour guide made the tour very interesting and cheerful. She was polite and knowledgeable without being boring. Lots of information about the city's history and culture. And then among these were visits to nice local curiosities. Pace was suitably relaxed. Bike worked nicely. Was good to get away from the most tightly packed tourist-zones and eat in peace without constant noise.

Photography Walking Tour with †Andrei‡ AMAZING!
Our photography tour with Andrei was simply AMAZING! First, he is a professional photographer and he's also really funny so you'll have a great time!! He gave us several tips about how to use our cameras, how to see beyond the obvious, while following some suggestions to improve our photographic skills... all of this while we walked to really interesting places around old Barcelona. During this tour, I learned many things about the history of the city and about photography. I would totally recommend this tour with Andrei!!!

Barcelona is bike-friendly, so it makes sense to explore it like this - especially when the tour takes you away from the crowded tourist spots. For example, I never expected former industrial district of Poble Nou to be worth seeing!
The bikes themselves are good and maneuverable, so the ride was a treat in itself.
Also, a bike tour is a great way to meet new people - the group is small, and the pace is comfortable, so you get a chance to chat to your companions.
And of course, thank you Maria for being a great guide!

Great way to see the evening part of Barcelona. The tour is in an area called El Born which is filled with lovely bars and restaurants. Our guide Theo was great and selected the best tapas in 4 different bars, however by the 3rd bar you will be too full to take another bite! We liked the bars that we were taken to that we went back to them again on the remaining nights that we had in Barcelona. Theo gave us other recommendations for restaurants and sites. Highly recommend the tour if you are looking for a fun night out.

We enjoyed the Gaudi ebike tour! We learned a lot about different Gaudi buildings and Barcelona in general. We enjoyed cruising through different neighborhoods and learning a bit about the history of the El Born area. Our guide brought along a book to show us what the inside of the various buildings looked like as well. It was nice to be able to put everything together. The ebikes are very easy to use plus they provide helmets and water! Definitely do this on your first day as it will help you get your bearings a bit.

Andrei the Photography Giant of Barcelona!
My husband and I were lucky enough to have Andrei as our private tour guide tonight and we are both really happy with what we have learned. Andrei taught us both some great new skills, me with my very basic phone and Muzz with his more serious camera skills. We had a great time wandering through beautiful Barcelona learning about the history and having a good laugh along the way. Andrei is a top notch photographer, teacher and a great guy. Thank you Andrei, we will recommend you to all we know.

A four-hour tour that lasted almost five hours. The day was spoilt by being a very wet afternoon that almost derailed the tour but Francisco took it all in his stride and showed us what he could whilst it was raining but always hoped that the weather would fine up which it eventually did. We were able to spend some good dry time at both Park Guell and Sagrada Familia. Francisco's deep knowledge and love of his hometown is second to none. A great start to our four-day stay in Barcelona.
