Buenaaaas ! (Yeah, this is the way to start a good conversation in Barcelona lol)
Our 3h promenade together will start at the Arc de Triomf, a very special place that will bring us back to 1888 and a particular event that was held on that very spot.
We will then enter the Ciutadella Park, our little "Central Park" with the first reference to the main genius of the city...Mess...ha no ! Not that one, the other one, much...much older !
After a little walk, we'll move to 1 of my favorite areas: El Born. We'll visit the old market of the district, which is today...something else (yeah, no spoilers...) and step by one of the most famous cathedrals in town: Santa Maria del Mar to see a little secret hidden in its stained glasses.
From there, we'll move to the oldest part of the city: el Gótico, the Gothic quarter. We'll pass by the city hall, the gardens of the gothic cathedral and walk through the narrow streets of the "barrio" to reach the famous Las Ramblas.
Time for a hard decision! Either we go down to see the Plaça Reial, the Port and Barcelona, or we go up to see the Boqueria Market (closed on Sundays though), Plaça Catalunya and Paseo de Gracia with the famous houses from Gaudi: Casa Batlló* and La Pedrera*. The choice is yours !
* We won't enter the monuments, but I can definitely book the tickets for you if you wanna visit them on your own after the tour or any other day. Just ask me and I'll be happy to organize this for you.
Et voilà...time to say "hasta luego", but I'll make sure before leaving you exploring on your own to give you some good food options in town and few tips, to eat and live like a local in Barcelona !
