Rumba Catalana Experience in Barcelona

Discover the passion, art and rhythm of Rumba Catalana. Originally developed in downtown areas of Barcelona in the 50s, "la Rumba" is a fusion of flamenco, Cuban music and rock ‘n’ roll. It became internationally recognised thanks to the closing ceremony of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.

Step into the present at the most iconic Rumba Catalana venue in the city! During the evening you’ll share good vibes and ancient traditions with some of the greatest Rumba players in the world. Rumba meant “party” originally, so you know what to expect.

The experience begins with a 45-minute private masterclass where you’ll learn the story of Rumba and how to dance its steps and movements, including handclapping to the beat of flamenco guitars and cajóns (percussion instruments).

Once you feel the Rumba Catalana in your hands, you’ll attend an authentic Rumba show lasting 1.5 hours. Admire the energy and artistry of some of the best Rumba dancers and musicians while enjoying some drinks and a tapas tasting.
