Why locals love it

Batumi is a green city in general. This lovely park with a lake in the middle is one of the most beautiful, naturally shaped and oldest public spaces in the city and the whole region. The locals go there for a walk or take their children to the little zoo or aquarium.

Why you should visit it

The park has been established in 1881 and was carrying the name of Russian tsar Alexander III, who planted several trees there. Now this is the best place to stretch out and read a book on a sunny day. You can also rent a boat for 5 lari/30 minutes, go to the dolphinarium or zoo.

Special tip

The entrance to the park is free, but the dolphinarium, zoo, aquarium, boat rent and the attractions at the children's playground will cost you money
