If you want to feel Batumi, to see it from a locals perspective you should visit the Fish Market on the main road near the port. It´s exotic, cheap and delicious. Here you can find the freshest fish in town, caught the same morning or even minutes before you buy it.

Why you should visit it
You can just come here for sightseeing, but the smell is just too tempting. So chose a fish, pay for it, give it to a lady who will clean it and then you take it to one of the neighboring restaurants, where they will fry or grill it for you at 3 resp. 5 GEL per kg. Some white wine, a view over the sea and the evening is perfect.
Special tip
Try the famous Batumi red mullet or barabulka. The tiny fishes have gorgeous taste
