The musum displays development of the oil industry in Batumi with the train and pipelines from Baku and involvement of the Rothchilds and Nobels. You will learn all about the development of the Baku oilfields, and the pipeline that brought the crude to Batumi. Displays are professional and explaination plaques are in English.

Why you should visit it
It is relatively new, opened in 2007, but well done and interesting. Set in a nice old house, it also contains exhibits on the development of tea culture, printing-house, and photography.
Special tip
A tour will take you maximum 40 minutes, but well worth it.
