Why locals love it
Founded only in the beginning of 2015, Sauerei is a reinvention of the often boring bar food culture. Located at Hopfenreich Craft Beer Bar at Schlesisches Tor in Kreuzberg, different beer types from little breweries are served with a special gastronomical experience designed by two Hungarian art and food lovers Dominika and Zsolt.

Why you should visit it
If you are fed up with the usual bar food, Sauerei provides you insight into a long term project which aims to find the relations between gastronomy and contemporary visual arts. Unlike any other place this research-oriented project is experimenting with pairing beer and food, both influenced by EasternEuropean bar food culture and home pickling.
Special tip
Ask the girl/guy working at the bar for the matching craft beer to your meal. You can taste them before deciding. Reasonable prize.
