The owners of "Auntie Horst" call themselves "liquor collective". And in fact, they take on decisions and management of everything collectively. Also, it´s non-profit - two things Berliners can hardly resist. Any sexist, racist, anti-semitic or otherwise disciminatory behaviour or expression are banned explicitely, while smoking is allowed (18 +).
Whether you want to start your night with a cheap beer or end it with a vegan cake, it´s all possible here. If you are not afraid of pink and purple furniture and enjoy a mostly alternative, queer-straight mixed crowd, this is a good place to start the night in Kreuzberg SO36. Have a try of the fine liquors, that give the bar its subtitle.
Every second sunday at 20:15 h the bar shows the German main crime drama series "Tatort" - probably the only popular cops amongst Kreuzbergers.
