We a had a great time on this tour. Would recommend doing it on first or second night of trip as it's a great way to get your bearings and find a few great spots. Learned loads about brewing processes and had a laugh with the tour guide

Germans are famous for their beer, and with good reason. In fact Germany’s laws on what makes beer beer are more than 300 years older than the country itself! 100 years ago Berlin had more breweries than any other city on the planet. After what can only be described as a pretty rough relationship with the 20th Century, Berlin’s beer scene is back!

Thankfully today Berlin’s beer scene is back with a vengeance. Thus we send out the call to all hopheads, beer freaks or just those with a humble respect for a nice cold beverage of an evening, to come and bathe in Berlin’s beer history and soak up (responsibly, of course) the burgeoning craft beer scene that’s mushrooming in the modern city. We’ll sample brews from all over the town at three different bars whilst chatting about the mechanics of beer and beer tasting, Germany’s spiritual connection with malt, hops, water and yeast, Berlin’s rocky road to craft beer kingship and more.

Spaces are very limited (max. 15 participants), so please reserve your spot in advance!

This is NOT a pub crawl!

Not quite what we expected.
Ok, so to start with our guide Daniel was a half hour late and we were on the verge of leaving. First stop was a little micro brewery and Daniel shared some of his knowledge of the brewing process, he certainly knows his stuff and was able to answer our many questions. After that though, it was just visits to a couple of craft beer bars. We got a beer at each as part of the tour, and the opportunity to buy a couple more, and some croissants to share. The tour wasn't quite what we expected and not great value for the money. If it was a few euros cheaper, or if we had got to 'sample at least 5 beers' as was advertised, I would give another star, but still lose one for being late. Sorry Daniel!

Insane value for money
The six hours we spent exploring the centre of Berlin just flew by, and I learned so much. Polly knows her subject - she studied German and history - and she is also friendly, funny, a great story teller, and able to convey some pretty grim facts with just the right degree of sensitivity and nuance. I have done plenty of walking tours in different cities and this was one of the best. Highly recommended.
Julia our tour guide is amazingly brilliant. No dull moment. She shown us around the city with thorough precision and loads of history. Thank goodness I booked this tour . 💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️
Our guide is Preston and he is a walking encyclopaedia . He shown us around with with a well planned route. Thank you very much Preston.
Awesome guide, awesome tour!
Glad to have booked this tour.
My partner and I made a last minute booking to come to Berlin for a short three night break. We had never been to Berlin, so when we saw the walking tour advertised we had to book it on line before we arrived, and how pleased we both were that we did. Our guide Jonathan had a wealth of knowledge to impart to us but didn't swamp us with too much information, in fact we both felt he had got just the right balance and an excellent sense of humour made for a really enjoyable tour and although the trip was initially a daunting six hour duration it passed far too quickly and by the end we both felt we had received a good digest of central Berlin and we looked forward to our evening trying out some of the bars and restaurants we had seen.
