Informative Insight
Our tour guide was Warren (Darren), the Irish guy. He was very knowledgable about the topic as it is what he is passionate about. He made sure all we all knew where we were going, so that no one stayed behind. He stopped along the way to introduce the Nazi era. He made sure he everyone understood what he was saying and was open to questions and comments. He told the history from an unbiased point of view leaving the information to our interpretation and conclusions. He delivered the information in such a way that made you feel you were there, maybe sitting in a college class, being immersed in all this history. He was wonderful.

A perfect road trip to Prague
We had an amazing 10-hour one-way driving tour from Berlin to Prague. We stopped in places most international tourists don’t find. We learned so much from our wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and funny tour guide, Sarka. She kept us entertained the entire time while safely getting us there in a comfortable van/minibus. And she gave us so much information, we were more than ready to explore Prague on our own.I would highly recommend this tour! We're looking now at the other Side Trip Tours to figure out which ones we can do.

Just an amazing experience
Our guide was Beth, who has studied modern German history and presented information in a very clear way. She provides context into the wider nazi machine, how it came to be and how Sachsenhaussen fitted into this.

She alone made the tour what it was. She was nothing short of Sensational and cannot thank her enough.

Take good comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking and take food and drinks as there is nowhere to buy snacks or drinks.

Visiting Sachsenhausen Memorial is never an easy experience for anyone but feels like an important experience to have. For this reason producing an effective tour of the camp can only be a very difficult task. I had been on previous tours of both Sachsenhausen and Auschwitz and had been disappointed with those tours, the guides finding it difficult to pitch the tour at the right level, either struggling to explain what are some very difficult topics to process or being too blasé and light hearted for the place we were visiting.

Dennis, on the contrary, was excellent. Always comfortable and approachable whilst explaining the horrific events that had happened there and also managing to produce the occasional, appropriate light hearted moment to keep the tour from being too morose, it was pitched superbly. He explained at the beginning he was a history student and you could tell, the tour never feeling like a script but a display of his passion for the subject. His use of explaining the story of someone who was a prisoner there throughout the tour made the events that happened at the camp much easier to process and gave it an authenticity that's difficult to achieve with just facts and figures.

Great tour
I had a great tour! An amazing sunny day, a small group of five people, and one amazing guide named Anastasia. The amount of food is huge, especially after breakfast, and I could hardly finish! Great value for money! Anastasia has excellent historical knowledge, beyond being madly nice. I enjoyed the combination of the stories about the places and the taste of the food. This was my first tour during the trip, and it was a great opening. The variety of food was huge - sausages, falafel, donuts, beer and more - was Beyond my expectations.the meeting place is convenient to reach, and the finish point is full of public transportation. Booking the tour through the site was very easy to use. Thanks for a great tour, and continue to bring great guides like Anastasia!

Outstanding tour - full of knowledge, tact & stories.
We had a memorial tour of Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp with Paul.

Paul made it interesting personal and enjoyable despite the somber subject matter.

We told him that the group (4 of us) were all Jehovah’s Witnesses and he pointed out everything that related to our interest in the site and made additional effort to find out extra information.

He was tactful and careful in telling us about the terrible things that happened but never avoided discussing the details when he needed to.

Paul is extremely knowledgable and friendly, you could not hope for a better tour guide.

Amazing Experience!
My Trends & Classics Tour was super delicious, informative and fun.
I got to explore places that I would have never come across by my own. We were a group of 5 which was perfect and tasted our way through the beautiful district of Prenzlauer Berg. Especially on a sunny day like ours, this is a great idea to get to know hidden places in Berlin and get to eat the best food (and coffee!). Thank you so much F&W for this trip and the knowledgable and sympathic guide Anastasia. Will definately recommend the tour to my friends and probably doing another one once I´m back in Berlin ;)

Ryan was amazing! Objective and informative
Our guide, the Scottish Ryan, is the man you should hope for when you visit Sachsenhausen. A perfect balance between speed, information, time for yourself, objectiveness, wit and thought provoking background. Due to us disappearing to find some food and ending up in another carriage on the way home, we couldn't thank him personally, so I hope my words of gratitude reach him this way. I have worked in tourism for about 20 years now and I usually dislike excursions and guides, but this man is such a pleasant exception. And my kids of 9, 12 and 14 also agreed with me. Thanks Ryan!

Highly Recommend
My husband and I toured the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. The groups are small (6 in our group) which gave everyone the opportunity to ask questions. Our guide, Paul, was extremely knowledgeable, answered our questions, dispelled myths, and provided important details to impart understanding of how and why these grave events took place. He went above and beyond our expectations to take care of us and make sure we were comfortable during the tour. The tour was in English and well worth the money. Thanks, Paul, and bless you in your future endeavors!

A nice day to know a friend and learn a bit of Berlin history and food
My first time in Berlin, I always want a not the usual touristy areas but know the place, culture, and food. It was nice to meet Jane, who is in the food business before and lived in Berlin for a couple of years. She gave me an open eye on how multi-cultured Berlin is and the kind of food available in Berlin is global, drinks loads of coffee, healthy, vegan ... free from culture, are all here. Kinda reminds me a very hipster place. Thanks, Jane and Dov ... I hope my next walk with you guys, you will have another interesting area I can explore!

Great tour
I took this tour with Cesar, who although tours infrequently, was a very knowledgeable and informative guide. On the trip down to Sachsenhausen, he filled us in on a lot of the backstory of what led to the Third Reich, and during the tour he provided all manners of information, history, detail, and even anecdotes. He also allowed us a little bit of free time so that we could explore what interested us. Sachsenhausen is a difficult place to visit, but I was very impressed with Cesar and his presentation of the subject matter.

It felt like an afternoon with friends!!!!
We absolutely loved the Fork and Walk ‘trends and classics’ tour of Berlin.
Our guide, Jane took us through the hip neighborhood of Kreuzberg. We ate everything from currywurst to cakes to coffee.
Jane was really informative and told us all kinds of info about Berlin and the area and as a group we had some great talks.
We liked the relaxed vibe and what felt like having lunch with friends.
I would highly recommend this tour for those waned a little something different and off the beaten track.

Interesting Tour of Sachsenhausen!
Our guide Paul was fantastic and did a great job of walking my 21 year old son and I through the concentration camp. He picked us up at our hotel and walked us through the train station and sat with us to give us a great history of the conditions in Germany post WWI that led to the establishment of the concentration camps. About 18 million people were murdered through 1000's of main camps and satellite camps. Sachsenhausen was Himmler's first design and the HQ for admin of all camps. Fascinating...

We booked onto a tour of the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, and our guide for the day was Lorna. She was very knowledgeable about the camp and the history behind it. And you could tell that she had a real passion for imparting her knowledge and teaching people about what really happened. It was a very interesting tour and a great way to learn about the history of the camp. I would definitely recommend this tour and Lorna.

Had a great time!
Went on the tour with my two teenager daughters and met a fellow traveller from the States. My daughters and I had a great time. We really enjoyed talking to our guide Sebastien, not only about historical and culinary aspects of Berlin, but also the mindset of a Berliner. He was engaging, thoughtful, and insightful, all the while making sure everyone had sufficient food to eat!! Loved our tour and would recommend it highly.

We spent a very pleasant day exploring Potsdam with our guide, David. Our group met in Berlin and traveled to Potsdam on public transportation (30 minutes). David walked with us all through the city for several hours. We stopped for lunch in the downtown area before heading to the palace. In spite of the damp weather and intermittent showers we had a great day.
i would highly recommend both OBW and David.

Well worth the money. The tour guide, Dennis, was an excellent guide and knowledgable man - studying a degree in history and growing up in Berlin made him a perfect fit for the job. The tour followed the story of a single man who went to the camp, allowing a more personal touch to understanding how life was like there.

Overall a great trip - would definitely advise you wear warm clothes however!

We had a fascinating and educational visit to Sachsenhausen concentration camp thanks to our awesome guide, Paul.

Amazing!
The food was different and delicious, but most importantly each meal was presented with a wealth of information on how it tied in both culturally and historically with Berlin. The tour was set up to foster a lively vibe with games and interaction that made it more than just a learning experience. The tour delivers the history and culture of Berlin through taste!

Perfect guide and hunger satisfied
Dov brought great enthusiasm to the tour and everyone in the group was quickly engrossed. The food was all delicious - especially lunch, and we went back for second helpings of cinnamon whirls they were so yummy! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to see great architecture, enjoy some typical Berlin food and drink, and have fun along the way.
