If you're looking for a fun, delicious, and interesting way to explore Berlin, look no further because Fork and Walk is pretty much it.

We were lucky enough to get Dov (who looks like Gene Wilder, I was struggling to place it the whole tour lol) as our guide and he was great.Truly the Wonka to our Berlin food factory tour. Very funny, personable, and most important, filled with tons of knowledge about the neighborhood and Berlin. I don't think we had a question that he couldn't answer; dude was a walking encyclopedia.

On the history side, I loved the mix of places that we went to. There were so many hidden gems that I would have never found on my own, but that helped tell Berlin's story in a beautiful and often thought-provoking way. We also didn't run into any other tour groups, so it felt like a very unique experience, really special.

On the food side, everything was perfect. The types of food, the timing between foods lol, the amount of food...I have no complaints. Everything was delicious (even the more unconventional things), and every stop was a chance to contextualize that food within the larger history of Berlin, so even while you're eating, you're learning.
On portion sizes, we shared everything and I was satisfied, but not stuffed.
To add context, I went to climb the Victory Tower after the tour, and death did not come. I was also hungry enough for dinner later that night, but didn't need any food until dinner. For me, that was a plus, because I wasn't looking to be out of commission for the whole day.

So overall, I had a fantastic time and definitely recommend that you stop reading reviews and go book your Fork and Walk tour. If you have active taste buds and like to have fun, you're gonna love it. I certainly did and will definitely go on another one next time I'm in Berlin.

Pro tips to keep the party going:
1. Ask for recommendations afterwards, and then actually go to the recommendations!! Dov was kind enough to provide a variety of them, and they were killer. So incredibly good, and consistently better than the spots I picked based off my own research.

2. Pay attention to your surroundings and take notes of things that you want to come back to. I was able to come back and pick up some beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces at some boutiques were passed, but I would have never found those places, if not for this tour.

Amazing off-the-beaten-track tour
My girlfriend and I did the Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte Tour. We have both been to Berlin before, and visited both areas, but this was really great to get a more "real" feel of them. We saw some really cool hidden gems (not gonna spoil them). The combination of eating/tasting and walking around is just a perfect fit. The second last stop with some amazing sandwiches was my highlight and a definite delight.
Great to do as a couple, alone or with friends, we had a great time meeting some guys from the Netherlands. Dov the guide was so social and funny and knowledgeable both on history and current state of things, answered all our questions. He made a chill atmosphere around the the tour which really made us relax and enjoy ourselves.
Do this if you want to eat and drink amazing things and get the know the locals Berlin!
Best Tour EVER!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed this local day tour in Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte. Our guide Dov was very informative and funny. We stopped at a beautiful and cosy barista cafe, 4 restaurants and finished off with a nice cold beer – I feel very spoilt. The food was delicious and so lovely to have shared plates, it really brought everyone together. We had some amazing spinach cake, a seriously tasty plate of Turkish falafel, cheese and salads, plus german dumplings, amazing pastrami, so much more. Lucky we did a god amount of walking and sightseeing so I was never too full. Dov has been in Berlin i think he said for 10 years, his insights into Berlin were very interesting. The group was just 8 people, so it felt really like a private tour and it was a great group of people. I just wish I had time to do the Kreuzberg / Neukölln Tour – next time!
It was a fun day and I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in learning about Berlin, while eating at delicious local eateries while staying in Berlin.
Knowledgeable, fun, enthusiastic and entertaining guide
Excellent guide with a great understanding of the local food scene.
The group was too large which meant we could not get into all the best places that the guide wanted to take us to.

Couldn't have asked for a better food tour enthusiasts like Michelle. She had a wide spread of knowledge around all of Berlin whilst also showing us the hidden food gems which were a delicacy. Would recommend anyone in Berlin to join this tour if you love food and want to learn some history.
