My buddy from Boston flew and dragged me along on a food tour ( I live in Berlin...). I was pleasantly surprised. Our guide, Dov, was a cool dude, well versed historically, and showed me some new spots I never knew existed in my hood. Good times.

The best way to walk, talk and eat
Had a wonderful introduction to the many different food and drinks available in Berlin. The tasters at each stop were enough so that one could happily continue the walk. The talking gave an insight into the separation and unification of the German capital. Highly recommended.

Amazing!
The food was different and delicious, but most importantly each meal was presented with a wealth of information on how it tied in both culturally and historically with Berlin. The tour was set up to foster a lively vibe with games and interaction that made it more than just a learning experience. The tour delivers the history and culture of Berlin through taste!

Excellent tour with Jane today. Great food and good company. Would highly recommend doing this at the beginning of your holiday as you'll get lots of recommendations and tips on places to eat during your stay.
Not terrible, but not as advertised
The food we did have was very enjoyable, but the tour itself was poorly organized. It was as if we were just wandering around a neighborhood. Our guide Michelle also did not give us a lot of information about the places we were passing by; for example, she explained to us that the needle in the middle of Berlin is the second tallest structure in Europe. When we asked her what the first was, she said she didn’t know. The rest of the tour was just us walking around and chatting, not really learning a ton of history about the area. We also did not visit the neighborhoods that were advertised on the tour. The advertisement seemed as though the tour would be about the food and people in the Turkish and Jewish neighborhoods as well as wider Berlin, but there was almost nothing about that.

There was a bit of information about Berlin’s urban counter culture, as well as a meaningful stop to explain a bit about the stumbling stones dedicated to the murdered victims of the Holocaust.

Again, the food was good, and the amount of food we had was good value for the price of the tour, but it was not what we signed up for. At the end of the tour when the group was going to a bar (which turned out to be a supermarket) we left.

Great way to walk the city!
My husband and I decided to book a tour while visiting Berlin. We did not know much about the food and had a general idea about the history. We booked a tour and immediately received an email with details on where to meet. Our tour guide was Emma. She was funny, witty and had so much information to share about Berlin. We had delicious coffee, currywurst, baked buns, etc! So much food but you do enough walking to not feel guilty about it :) Highly recommended.

Fun tour
Emma was a GREAT tour guide. Very kind, humorous and talented at matching the energy level of the group. I enjoyed her style of prepping the group with some information before showing us the sight. Great job Emma! The tour was intriguing. It was a perfect introduction to the city in a locals perspective. Definitely book a tour if you are interest in seeing the local spots. Yum.

Must do tour!
I had one day in Berlin and I am so glad I did this tour. It was the best way to get a little snap shot of the city, eat some delicious food, and learn lots about the city along the way. Our guide Emma was a great source of information, she knew so much about Berlin's history and the present, and was great company to boot.
I'll definitely do another Fork & Walk tour the next time I come back to Berlin.

A great way to explore the city!
I love food. And I love variety and trying new food. So, this tour was really perfect for me! Especially when I go travelling, I consciously try not to fall into the 'tourist trap' and much prefer to eat out (and go) where the locals hang out. It makes for a much more authentic experience (and usually cheaper, too...).
I highly recommend the tour: besides fantastic food, you get to hear about the city and meet lovely people at the same time!
