Here´s a challenge for everyone coming to Berlin: Find someone talking bad about this place! Würgeengel (Exterminating Angel) seems to be just about every local´s favourite cocktail bar at the moment. There´s a significant share of regulars, but it´s also a popular place to continue the evening for visitors from the surrounding art house cinemas.
Why you should visit it
Dark, classy interior and arguably the best cocktails around: If you´re in for an in-style-evening you shouldn´t miss a drink here. Chandeliers, red walls and picture perfect bartenders give the place a noble charm without appearing posh. Prices are upscale for the area, but you are sure to get excellent value in exchange. Come early to get a seat.
Special tip
Virtually all cocktails and longdrinks are excellent. While many favor the Mai Tai, the Gin Tonic with fresh cucumber and pepper is also a revelation.
