Michal is a charismatic young entrepreneur with a passion for Prague and modern Czech history. He’s been running his own travel company, Explore Prague, for the past three years, organising off-the-beaten-path city tours and fascinating day trips to surrounding areas.

What sets Michal apart from typical tour guides is that he’s not in the business simply to pay the bills. He absolutely adores his city and always strives to give his guests an experience they’ll never forget. Here’s a little taste of what he has to offer!

Michal’s story

Michal started out as a salesman, but after a couple of years he grew tired of spending long hours at his office in the city centre and saw an opportunity right in front of him – tourism! Already an experienced tour guide, he decided to get his professional license and kick-start his own company.

Right after he received his precious certificate, he launched Explore Prague with one goal in mind: to help visitors create unforgettable memories in Prague by providing exceptional tours. He wants travellers to experience his city and discover its secrets, not just visit the top sights.

Why he loves his work

Running his own company means that Michal is able to fully customise the experiences his guests have in Prague. In other words, he can ensure they’ll have a great time because he can tailor his tours to match their interests and personalities.

“It’s awesome to see the rewards of your work,” he says, “when happy customers keep recommending you to their friends and relatives who have plans to visit Prague in the future.”
