We, the locals, often forget sometimes how lucky we are to live in a city like this. A city where you can admire a unique example of a complex, consisting of several Romanesque churches. Once you enter you feel like you are in a place far away from everything, where history and peace are the only protagonists.

Built to emulate the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, this complex consists of several churches built in different historical period. The result is impressive, and although not majestic as San Petronio or San Pietro, Santo Stefano is probably the most beloved church by locals. It might be its magical atmosphere, where time seems to be suspended.
Try to enter on a weekday, when silence and meditation are still possible.
