Why locals love it

You don't have to be a music enthusiast to appreciate these art pieces. I consider this museum a true hidden gem in Bologna, although it's not appreciated as it should be. Also, it's cheap and you can listen to free concerts on most of Saturday afternoons by the students of Bologna's music academy.

Why you should visit it

The Tagliavini collection consists in more than seventy musical instruments from 16th to the 20th century: it's composed principally by harpsichords, but also organs and wind instruments. It's a unique place because historical instruments are restored and actually played. Also, the Oratorio's architecture and frescos are worth a visit.

Special tip

Check the dates of the concerts! Most of them are free and they're held both by students and professionals
