I’m a certified Tour Leader in Emilia Romagna and with me, you can discover the original charm and lively character of the fascinating cities in this region, get insider stories, and discover hidden gems and local markets.
If it's true that the place where we are born says so much about us, then Bologna and generally my region Emilia Romagna represent my best business card. I love good food, good company and traditions, but at the same time, I consider myself a curious globetrotter.
This last aspect has led me to explore different cultures, languages, and countries: I've lived in Estonia, Spain, Germany, and Canada at different stages of my life. I keep unique memories of each of those places, because I have been fortunate enough to share my experiences with locals, and I acknowledge how this aspect can make a visit unique.

Description
Get familiar with Bologna by exploring it on foot with a local guru by your side!
Bologna is a fabulous place to discover, but visitors often stick to the famous well-known sights and attractions. Yet the city features many great unexplored gems, corners, bars and restaurants. You just need to know where to find them.
The tour starts at the fascinating ‘Mercato Delle Erbe’ food market, where you'll learn about Bologna's typical flavours and aromas.
You'll then stroll across some of the most famous points of interest in the city, and hear legends and anecdotes of the oldest university in the Western World as you wander from the Archiginnasio to Via Zamboni.
Next, you'll discover the voice of Bologna's past by admiring the flow of the Canale delle Moline, and finally, find out why water has been the source of economic progress and prosperity for the city.
And it wouldn't be a proper local experience without uncovering some hidden gems along the way, getting local tips on where to eat the most delicious tagliatella or gelato in town, or where to shop authentic Italian products.
