Tucked behind Harvard's main campus, the Harvard Museum of Natural History is an intimate space for exploratory and educational purposes. Established in the late 90s, the museum hosts three research institutions within: the Museum of Comparative Zoology, the Mineralogical and Geological Museum, and the Harvard University Herbaria.

The museum is small, making it an intimate experience. The museum also hosts, as part of its permanent exhibits, the famous "Glass Flowers". The Ware Collection of Blaschka Glass Models of Plants was commissioned in the late 1800s. It took the artisans decades to build exact glass replicas of over 800 flower species. 3,000 are on permanent display.
This museum participates in the Boston CityPass and Go Card Boston consortium programs for discounted entry.
