Why you should visit it
Just off the Boston Commons in Downtown Crossing, JM Curley is one of the few watering holes in this commercialized and historic drag of the city. Though it's often filled to the brim, if you can get in, it makes for a great drinking and dining spot before or after any nearby activity (movie, theatre, ice skating in the park...).
Special tip
Aside from the house favorites, the pate is outstanding. As is the chopped salad.
