Why locals love it
Oberon is the American Repertory Theatre's second stage. A.R.T. is world renowned for theater, and has won more than a handful of Tony's for its mainstage shows. Oberon is a fringe venue, tucked into Harvard Square for those who know their way around. The open space serves as an incubator for emerging theater artists, as well as a show space.
Why you should visit it
Oberon hosts a myriad of fringe events from local theater troupes, to poetry nights, and other more experimental performances. Oberon is most famous for their monthly hosting of "The Moth" and their Saturday night event, "The Donkey Show". The Donkey Show is a burlesque, disco, interactive version of A Midsummer Night's Dream, great for groups.

The Donkey Show goes drag once a month. Not to be missed for all in favor of drag, disco, Shakespeare, and the LGBT community.
