Why you should visit it
The North End, like many other historic parts of Boston, can be a bit of a tourist trap. It's hard to find things in the area that aren't for tourists. Shake the Tree--whether you're a tourist or local--has gorgeous objects for all. Why waste a lot of money buying Harvard apparel for loved ones when you can buy something made by a Boston artisan?
