Prices here prove this isn't your average cup o' joe, but it's well worth the extra cost for true connoisseurs.
Why you should visit it
All Colorado coffeeshops face a riddle: at high altitude water boils at a lower temperature which makes it difficult to extract the full flavor of beans. The 'cowboy coffee' method of placing grounds directly in boiling water is one historic solution. From this inspiration, Boxcar optimized the method to produce a strong, but never burnt, brew.
Special tip
Boxcar shares a space with Cured, an epicurean cheese, meat, beer and wine shop. Wake up with a cuppa then gather the best picnic supplies in town.
