Bon Apetit magazine has named Boulder 'America's Foodiest Town', and for good reason. Outside the restaurant scene, Cured is surely one of the 'foodiest' establishments in the city. The premise is simple- a single shop selling everything you need for the perfect picnic: artisinal cheeses, cured meats, fresh bread, condiments, craft beer and wine.
In the style of a European deli and cheese shop, Cured showcases the emerging genre of artfully produced, world-class cheeses in addition to a plethora of other epicurean goods. The owners, (a cyclist and yoga instructor, the ideal stereotypical Boulder couple) are extremely friendly and more than willing to let you sample much of the inventory.
Don't miss the selection of local wines and beer in the back. Boxcar coffee, which shares the space, also makes one of the city's best cups o' joe.
