A lot of university students in Boulder live or socialize around the neighborhood dubbed 'The Hill'. Most are attracted by the desire to party and experiment with altered states of consciousness, which go hand in hand with the psychadelic jam music that's extremely popular around here. This concert venue is the public face of the scene.
Why you should visit it
All joking aside, Boulder is fortunate to have this highly acclaimed venue. Clear sight lines, crisp and full sound, friendly bar staff pouring reasonably priced drinks, energetic, attractive crowds and of course first-rate bands ranging from hip-hop to bluegrass and everything in between make The Fox a positively marvelous place to see a concert.
