Despite the odd name, T|ACO (that's t/aco, not tiaco), a self-proclaimed 'urban taqueria' elevates the simple Mexican street food to new heights. Ingredients like red snapper, ahi tuna, braised pork belly are all prepared beautifully. Vegetarian options are plentiful as well, and the 'smokey' margaritas take your taste buds straight to la playa.
The conventional tacos such as carnitas, barbacoa and cojita would make purist cocineros everywhere proud, plus the 'north of the border' recipes like mango chicken and BLT successfully manage to tanscend the strangeness fusion foods all too often fall victim to.
Sadly prices here aren't comparable with those south of the border, but a daily happy hour drops both select tacos and margaritas into affordability.
