Thursday Night Cruiser Ride
Why locals love it
Since 1992 Boulderites young and old (but mostly young) have gathered every Thursday night in spring, summer and fall to ride single-speed cruiser bikes through town, making friends with each along the way and spreading cheer by wishing everyone they cross a "Happy Thursday!"
Why you should visit it
This ride is honest wholesome fun of the active, playful sort that typifies the best aspects of living in Boulder. The pace is easy, and just by joining in you're essentially gauranteed to make a friend, or two, or ten. Each week has a theme, and though costumes aren't required they're certainly encouraged. You do have to bring your own bike.
Special tip
Cruisers and bikes of all sorts can be rented at many shops in town. This ride meets at 7:00 pm at Scott Carpenter Park and leaves promptly at 7:30.
