Memorial of the
Why locals love it
Grave of Chatam Sofer and the graves of others were covered for decades by undignified concrete slab, but fortunately they were successfully restored and reopened in 2002. While you are having a walk along the Danube, it is worthy to visit this complex and see how it currently looks like.
Why you should visit it
This memorial is named after the revered Chief Rabbi of Pressburg Moshe Schrieber, also known as ‘Chatam Sofer’, who was one of the leading figures of the 19th-century European Judaism. This monument is part of the Slovak Jewish Heritage Route.
