Why locals love it
“As long as the window with pirôžky at Obchodná street is open, everything is OK”, the locals used to say. Pirôžky is one of the few businesses to survive the turbulences of Communism, The Velvet Revolution, 90’s Mafia crime and the recent developer’s boom. It’s a special kind of donut fulfilled with poppy seed, marmalade, nut or apple filling.
Why you should visit it
Just grab a couple of fresh and warm Pirôžky while passing by and enjoy their taste. Maybe it is not the healthiest food as it is deep fried, but I am sure you will love them. The price is 50 cents each. So, come on!
