The palace was built in the 2nd part of the 19th century in mixed architectural style known as eclecticism. The building embodies our history of the 20th century - during World War II it was the seat of the German Embassy, later it became the Museum of Lenin.

The building wasn´t used for a longer period of time until they started with its renovation a few years ago. Today there are different theatrical performances running in its premises and, apart from this, it serves as cinema (Kino Film Europe) offering high-quality works of European cinematography.
