Use the train from Bratislava going to Poprad-Tatry, where you transfer to High Tatras connection. Its easy every 2 hrs trains are leaving from Bratislava. best train is IC- intercity. You can use also R train- means speed train. Consult and buy the ticket on www.slovakrail.sk. In case you stay in Bratislava look if you want to get the tour in Bratislava, do not hesitate to contact me, I do them in Russian, English and Spanish - just visit web site privatetours.guru

Hi Julija, I think the best way is to take a. train from Bratislava and to transfer to High Tatras line at Poprad-Tatry. Its easy, every two hours leave the train, the better quality is IC - Inter city train, less quality R-speed train. Consult on www.cp.sk, available in English or buy on www.slovakrail.sk

You book a train ticket on zssk.sk or buy it by the window on the train station.
There are two ways to travel to high tatras.
You either get off on the station called Strba and from there you take a “zubacka” which is a mountains train (the tickets can be bought at that train stop)
Or you get off on the station called Poprad and then take a direct train to high tatras.
The faster option is the first one since the second train goes to a lot of mountainous villages, takes longer.
