Go to bus no. 32 from central train station (9 stops) to stop named: Botanicka Zahrady (Botanic garden) and then change to bus no. 29 (14 stops) to stop named: Strbska, Hrad Devin. The stop is for signal.

Hi Stuart
Jakub gave you the best indication how to get there.
Please, be aware that on Mondays is Devin closed, as well if it snows much or if it is glaze ice. (It is environmentally highly sensitive area).
If you need a professional tourist guide, just let me know.
All best

Hi Jakub, thank you for your help. The day I would be looking to visit would be Tuesday Dec 31st.
In case you are not goint to live close to the train station, I would suggest you to take the bus nr. 29 or 28 under the bridge SNP. (0,90 eur ticket for one way up to 30 min.)

Bus 28 doesn't operate anymore, only 29 :)

Hey Stuart,
you can take bus number 32 from the station, you will get off at Botanicka zahrada (Botanical garden) and then change to bus 29 and you will get off at the castle. It means you need 2 buses to get there.

That's great. Thank you Jana. Would you suggest any other place I should visit while in Bratislava?
You're welcome.
People usually visit the historical part of the Old Town (now we have Christmas markets there - Main Square and Hviezdoslav Square), Bratislava Castle, Slavín Monument and also Devín. So it's up to you, it depends on how much time you have.

Just for 3 nights including New Year, I look forward visiting your City.
Great, so you will have time for all these things I mentioned. And I forgot one - Blue Church :)
You can also join free walking tour if you want to be guided by a local - Be Free Tours.
Enjoy your time in Bratislava. It's a great city!
