Hey, hello! I'll visit Bratislav @ 10.03. and stay there for 24h. So, any suggestions for "what to do" and "must see" stuff? Some suggestions about "normal" nightclubs ( I prefer punk, rock, metal, industrial music e.t.c.) And what about "non tourist" bars or cafe (like "rock pub" or "art cafe" e.t.c.)? And what is some kind like "national" booze (alcohol) in Slovakia? 😈

Well, you can walk around the city centre (there also should be free walking tours) - visit the castle - there is a nice view from there, and the cathedral. If you like art you can go to the national gallery for free, or to the Bratislava city gallery in Mirbach palace or my personal favorite Gallery Nedbalka. There is also a modern art gallery Danubiana outside of the city on Danube river. As for clubs, I recommend Nu Spirit Club or Bar - check their program, or try Fuga. The 'national' booze is borovička (similar to gin) or slivovica (a plum distillate). But we have great local beers (and also wine) - check out Le Šenk, Čierny pes or Stein Platz - these are pubs. For cafes try Next Apache, Park Life, or U Kubistu (which is also a bistro).

Thanks. Now I know a name for one of my missions in Bratislav - "borovička", and I think I'll try slivovica too, because in Krakow it was good, now I should taste yours😈 About art - I better prefer some kind of "street art", not a classical, but thanks for suggestions. 😉

Try grepovička! Its borovička with grapefruit juice, they started selling this drink in KGB pub, but I think it spread pretty quickly and they offer it almost everywhere.

Hey Uldis, I recommend you to go to Devin. You either need to take public transport or I recommend you to use Uber. Its really nice place to walk around.
Close to Safarikovo square there is Church of St. Elizabeth, known as a Blue Church.
In Bratislava there is a bridge of SNP,known as UFO, because it looks like ufo :-) You can take a lift there and have a view on Bratislava.
I can also recommend Slavin, a lot stairs though and bunker from the 2nd world war in Bratislava-Petrzalka.
For food go to Verne restaurant on the Hviezdoslavovo square, check Pinot u Bruna, next to the St.Martin cathedral, the biggest in Bratislava, its small and nice.place. For rock music go to Barrock in the centre or Rockok on Safarikovo square.
Hope I helped you out.
Michaela :-)
