We’d like to invite you on a tour through the colourful villages and small towns – Svätý Jur, Pezinok, and Modra, for example – that lie in the foothills of the Small Carpathian Mountains, where the most famous producers of top-class Slovak wines have served locals and kings for centuries.
The tour begins with a visit to Hrad Červený Kameň (the Red Stone Castle), the former residence of the noble Palffy family. You’ll take a tour with a local guide, and discover the largest wine cellar in Central Europe. You’ll also see a unique collection of arms and paintings, and a beautiful garden with both white and colourful peacocks roaming around.
You’ll then stop for lunch at a traditional wine cellar restaurant where you’ll be able to try local specialities.
Afterwards, you’ll visit one of the most famous Slovak wine producers – either Elesko or Karpatská Perla, depending on the date – to see their cellars and taste some of their best wines.
