Uisce Beatha is the word from the Irish language meaning "whisky". Therefore, it is not surprising that the owner is a cheerful Irishman whose job is his hobby. Moreover, a nice mixture of locals and English speaking residents creates a lovely international atmosphere in one of the beautiful Old Town streets in the heart of Bratislava.
The place is rather small, cozy and international with a tinge of Ireland in the air. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always trying to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The drinks and food (pickled cheese or "nakladaný Hermelín" in Slovak) are above average. What more do you need?
Have some beer (or whisky) in Uisce Beatha, grab a bite and your stroll through the city center will be even more pleasant.
