Why locals love it
The castle has roots dating back to the 12th century. Sadly, it is not open to visitors, however, both locals and tourists use this spot and the surroundings for some amazing photoshoots. The castel still has a military function. It shelters the highest military academy within the Netherlands (KMA), hence the no visitor policy.

Why you should visit it
Even though you cannot go inside, the view is amazing and you can make up for some great background of your touristy photos. You will also be right next to the central park where you can continue your photoshoot!
Special tip
If you know someone who studies at the KMA ask them to escort you inside. That way you could visit the castel.
