Pompoko is a cute small japanese restaurant in the North Laine. Its inexpensive, unpretentious and bustling all the time. Locals and tourists alike pop in for a quick meal or take-away to sit in Pavillion gardens.
Why you should visit it
The atmosphere and the staff are excellent, as is the budget conscious and tasty menu. There are many rice, noodle and curry dishes as well as great starters and deserts. Be prepared to wait for a table if there is a big group of you though- the place is tiny!
