Hello,
I will be in Brno on 15th of April. Could anyone advise, is it a good idea to visit Brno Reservoir? Would it be open on Easter holidays? How much time and money (entrance fee, boat fee etc.) should I count on if going there? Unfortunately, I don't find any information in English on their website.
Thank you!

Hello Anta: First of all, welcome to Brno, I hope you will enjoy it! Second, I definitely recommend visiting Wellness and Spa Infinit Maximus Hotel after a walk around the lake, it is certainly worth it, and the facilities are simply great and at an affordable price (http://www.maximus-resort.cz/en/wellness-brno/). Stay well and safe trip!

Hi Anta,
according to the weather forecast, Saturday should be the warmest day of Easter so I would definitely recommend you that place!

The best way you can reach the reservoir (called Prygl) is by trams No. 1, 3, 11, the stop's name's Pristaviste. Unfortunately, you can't take a boat this time of year, the sailing season is going to begin on April 29th.
Tickets for the public transport: http://www.dpmb.cz/en/pruvodce-jizdnym

Don't miss the Castle Veveří from where you can enjoy the view of the reservoir. The admission is 30 Czech crowns (1 Euro), you can take a tour which is 90 or 150 Czech crowns. There's more Information on this website: https://www.veveri.cz/en. You can take the bus No. 303 (the stop Hrad Veveri), it's about 200 meters from the stop up to the castle.

Enjoy your stay in Brno!

Hi,
thank you very much for advice and for useful links!

I have another question: is it possible to buy a ticket from the driver, or are the tickets available only at these sales points: http://www.dpmb.cz/en/prodejny ?
(Im interested in buying a one-day ticket for 90k)
Thank you!

You can buy the tickets in the ticket machines which you can find on almost every tram station, e.g. in front of the railway station (Brno hlavni nadrazi) or in the city centre. Or in some news stands. But be prepared that the ticket machines usually don't accept bills, just coins.
You can also buy from the driver, it's a little more expensive and I'm not very sure if he sells these one-/more-day tickets. :)

Hi Anta, I would say there is nothing interesting during Eastern, except beautiful walk around reservoir - it is ca 14km. Boats season starts at 29th of April. If your question was about paddle boats, I'm not definitely sure, but I guess this isn't also open at this time.

Hi, the reservoir is freely accessible all year round. Only the sailing season begins on 29 April. But you can still walk around, there are many paths. There is a map: http://www.brnenskaprehrada.cz/mapa024s.html#m024sd
Have nice trip!
