Why locals love it

When I go on holiday, or outside of Brussels in general, when I see Place Poelaert, I'm home. This spot offers you great views of all the landmarks in Brussels and it's a completely free, public zone. And its in the shadow of one of our best known landmarks, the Palace of Justice (once the largest building in the world upon construction in 1883)!

Why you should visit it

If you want to see everything in Brussels, but you don't have the time to visit everything, come to Poelartplein. In fact, the first stop on ANY trip to Brussels should be this place. You can seek out spots that seem interesting and then make your way there!

Special tip

Make sure you take the free public elevator, which takes you up! An activity on it's own!

You can no longer go to the top of the building. It is still very impressive.

Is this named correctly? It doesn't show up on Google Maps. Is it "Palais de Justice"?
