Depends what you want to do. Brasserie Cochaux or Brasserie de la Gare for genuine belgian cuisine. Brussels volkstejoeter or La Monnaie for culture.
Fancy rock or modern music, check calendar of Forêt National or Ancienne Belgique.

Via Via is a nice place to have a beer on St Catherine place.

Certo (Ixelles) or Le Petit Racine (Flagey) are awesome italian restaurants. For a real but not to expensive belgian restaurant, you can try Resto Bière in les Marolles.

Cup 28 or Belga Coffee (Rue du Bailli) are two small but nice place to have coffee. The quality of the coffee is amazing!

The best benedict eggs in town are made by Peck 20.

And the list can go on and on and on ;)

There's a market every friday evenings at Place des Chasseurs Ardennais, locals like to go there to share drinks and food. Check out the bars around Place Flagey (L'amère à boire, le murmure, le bar du marché, le belga, le tigre...) if you want to go out for beers and more. Also some nice spots (day and night) at Le Parvis de Saint-Gilles. For restaurants, there are many nice spots in Brussels but i recommend you to check this website : https://www.brusselskitchen.com/, it's written by a local and you'll find some gems. Enjoy..
