Excellent Tour of Brussels with Various Belgium Beers and Pubs
Great job by Johann our tour guide for giving us a great overview on the various Belgium Beers and their pubs. My wife and I learned a lot about the history and Johann was great about also giving us a brief chocolate tour. Would recommend the tour to anyone who has likes to try different beers and learn the history of Brussels.
We give the beer tasting tour 5 stars. The tourguide (Johan) is a splendid storyteller. He is a charming and warm person with an unique knowledge about beers and the history of Bruxelles.
We had a great time on the tour and met lots of lovely people from all over the world! The tour moved at a good pace, without being rushed or feeling like we spent too long in any one place. We visited 5 different pubs/bars and had 8 different beers. These were not places that you would stumble across, some of them were hidden away down little alleyways.
I wouldn't pick a dark beer for myself usually as they don't tend to suit my taste. However, the beers we tasted on this tour were absolutely delicious and we got a mixture of different styles, tastes etc including some darker beers which were absolutely delicious. The snacks along the way were tasty too. Thanks Arty for a wonderful afternoon and for sharing your knowledge.
I would recommend this tour to anyone and everyone!
Definitely one of the highlights of my stay in Brussels. The beer was incredible and our tour guide was quite knowledgeable and friendly. He was quick to get the tour group acquainted with one another.

As a solo traveler to Brussels I really enjoyed meeting others on this tour as we continued to drink into the evening once the tour was done.

The bars were were taken to seemed to be off the beaten path and were much quieter than I expected which was great since we were able to converse easily.
Arty the tour guide was great! His knowledge of Belgium & their famous beers was unbelievable. We tasted 8 beers at some unique bars which you will never find in the heart of Brussels. Artys knowledge of the Trappist beers was second to none. He made the group interact with each other & there were plenty of laughs along the way. I recommend this tour to anyone who loves a beer & wants an insight on how Belgium beer is made. Beware this tour will get you drunk :) Great fun - 5 star!

I LOVED my tour!
I LOVED my tour as there was just one more person other than me in this tour and I personally don't like too much of crowd. Food in Brussels was outstanding and just made my day. Though not much of a beer person, I loved the light beer that the guide bought for us. Best part of the tour was that the guide was quite friendly and did not rush to finish the tour and on the contrary tour finished about 1 hour after the stated time. We had a great time with amazing food, light conversations, good scenery and knowing each other better. I think this tour was well worth it. I would recommend this tour to all those who want to visit Brussels, are short on time and want the best experience in that limited amount of time. Also I felt that the guide was quite flexible and tried to meet our requirements properly upon request, hence here's a suggestion for future customers looking to book a tour - If you have any particular interest in a type of beer then let the guide know about it as he would get it for you accordingly.
Not more than a guidebook could tell you
For the price I was expecting a bit more, I'm sorry to say. For example, the tastings were okay (the mussels were excellent) at rather touristy spots (the whole point, I thought, was to get "insider" discoveries) and the chocolate part was tasting one truffle (a very good one, but still). The beer tasting was informative and our guide was helpful, but overall I didn't really learn anything I hadn't already read in my (5-year-old) guide book.
OK tour; Pricey
Our tour began with waiting for another couple just for a few minutes but never showed, so it was just the three of us – our family – and tour guide Mark. The tour was well organized, each chocolatier was ready for our arrival and we had some excellent tastings. The highlight was when we got to meet the young man who assisted us in making our own chocolates. The negatives would be that Mark seemed somewhat distracted, spent a lot of time on his phone in between shops, and really did not engage us a whole lot in conversation. Also, it was seriously overpriced. A few days before, we spent the same amount of money for an all day bus tour to three cities.
It was a bit disappointing.
I was hoping for more beer tasting and more chocolate tasting. The guide was talking too much. And too much talk that was not relevant. A guide must talk slower and give the participants time to digest what he says. The food was very good and nice to visit the small places in the alleys. I will not recommend this tour to my friends. It was not what I had expected.
