Muzeul de Artă "Frederic Storck și Cecilia Cuțescu-Storck"8
Why locals love it
This museum served both as living quarters and workshop for the Storck family – a family of artists of German descent, who greatly influenced the early period of modern Romanian sculpture. The house boasts very nice marble statues, tiled stoves and Dutch windows and has a very nice garden.
Why you should visit it
You may admire sculptures, paintings (similar to the style of Paul Gaugain), drawings, graphics, bronze and marble statues (showing remarkably fine details and bearing witness to Rodin’s artistic influence), as well as the painted ceiling and walls of the main room - rendering Cecilia Cutescu Storck’ vision of paradise, earthly and spiritual love.
Very friendly guide who will show you around, the entrance fee is a real bargain!
