Also you can try a pederstian tour with a local guide. It`s free, you may tip the guide but is not mandatory. I tipped the local guides in London and Israel

Hi! Actually on 16 will happens Ortodox Easter. It`s not necessary to be very religious, but the show of hundreds of lit candles at the midnight time is beautiful...
Also every weekend at Muzeul Taranului Roman Club you can find an exhibition of folkloric and traditional stuff. They have also a nice bistro with good food and not very expensive.
If you like heavy metal, here I find a good event for you: http://www.vinsieu.ro/eveniment/bucuresti/bucuresti/muzica-si-concerte/concert-apocalyptica-la-sala-palatului/115484/e.html
And here you have a list with all musical events scheduled for april.
If you like spa you should go at Therme: https://en.therme.ro/
Enjoy your trip!

There's a little error in the Apocalyptica link, it actually took place on the 6th, not the 16th.

Thank you olga ! you are a treasure :)
I have many errors .... :)
But I had only good intentions!
Otherwise I must tell you that in Bucharest you can use subway (not during peak hours) and taxis (with badge and price displayed on the door 1.39-1.45 is OK).
Public surface transport has serious problems with timming :(

Easter is celebrated on 16-17 April and there is a fair with local products, such as traditional hand-painted eggs or pottery. There are also a series of concerts in Piata Constitutiei. During the weekend Calea Victoriei, which is one of the most beautiful streets in Bucharest, will be pedestrian only, so you could have a nice walk along historical buildings.

Thanks R. very appreciated!
Hello! If you are in Bucharest on Easter, there are several must sees you should check out:

- a walk on Kisselef Boulevard, to see the Triumph Arch and the Herastrau Park, a beautiful sight in spring. There are several nice pubs by the Lake where you can chill out and have a drink.
- visit the National Peasant's Museum - still there, on Kisselef, near Plaza Victoriei. A very modern, fresh look on the traditional Romanian values.
- check out the Mitropolie, if you like this kind of monuments - the headquarters of our Orthodox Church leaders. It is a beautiful ancient building, with lots of valuable paintings. It will be spectacular during Easter.
- if you are into clubbing, the Old Center is a must. It is near Mitropolie and has a lot of cool clubs where you can hang out and dance until morning hours.
- Bucharest is in itself a unique, poignant, elegant but nostalgic city. I would strongly recommend long walks on its boulevards and old quarters, as spring adorns it with beautiful blossomed trees.
- If you want to enjoy a hearty, delicious traditional Romanian dish, choose "Lacrimi si sfinti" or "Carul cu bere" in the Old Center.

Enjoy your stay in Bucharest!
All the best
