Hi Mineisha

The usualu restaurant price is about 40-50 lei for a meal, approx. EUR 10. You can find cheaper or more expensive depending on the restaurant and what you order. Bucharest has food places for all pockets.

Public transportation is reliable and you have to get a transportation card from the public transportation shops, there are these little kiosks (RATB = Bucharest public transportion company) where you have to get a transportation card, you can then add credit to it. It can be nominal (on your name) or general for multiple persons. You can get it for a whole day approx 8 lei, whole week approx. 17 lei or 15 days approx. 25 lei. They are for all public transportation lines: bus, tram, subway.

Hope this helps! Have fun planning your trip!

Hello, you can eat a whole meniu with about 10 euro and you can enjoy a coffee for less than 3 euro. Some restaurants have hapy hour, at lunch and you can have soup, main course and desert with 4 or 5 euro.

Public transportation. If you need a bus it,s recomended to take a daily pass - around 3 euro. If you need a single ticket it is 1.3 lei.
It is recommended the subway- a 10 tickets card - 20 lei. Enjoy Bucharest.

I would add to all the answers below: try uber or better use star taxi app, which works very well. There are always free wifi connections around restaurants and coffee shops, so you are sure u always pay the fair price. Taxi costs from 1.39 RON up to 1.77 RON per km, which is less than 0.50 EUR per km. You can try food street as well. All the foreigners I know love Romanian pretzels.

One person can eat a very good two courses meal and desert with 20 euro. Public transportation is not recommended because it is crowded and follows normal traffic. Except for the subway, which is fast and good. Taxi is very very cheap.

The priciest restaurants are on Soseaua Nordului, near Herastrau park, and main courses can be as expensive as 100 RON. I recommend avoiding them as the prices don't match the quality. A decently priced full meal (main course, drink and eventually dessert) is priced somewhere around 50 RON or less. Also, a good trick to know if a place is cheap or not is to look at the price of water. The supermarket price of water is 2 RON for a half liter. Water in cafes is somewhere between 5-8 RON. So if you see water that's more than 8 RON, the place has an expensive menu. In terms of public transportation I think taxis are ok too, as they are pretty cheap. But if you take the taxi, ALWAYS order one instead of taking it from the street. Have fun!

hello
food prices depend on where you buy from. If you are going to eat in a fast-food, with about 20 lei you can get either a sandwich, soda and french fries, and if you go to a restaurant 20 lei is only the main dish, a soup is about 10-15 lei, desert about 10-20 lei, and there is the tip of 10% too.... If you are going to eat in the old town, it can get even more expensive, with 30-40 lei the main dish
Regarding the public transport, subway is very reliable and fast, trains come every 5 minutes, and the subway covers almost every place you need in Bucharest. Price for 10 trips is 20 lei. I would not recommend the public bus... it's a bit cheaper bu not the best way really. But you can choose the touristic bus, which goes every day on the same route, the most beautiful in the city, and you really get to see most of the city. It costs about 25 lei I think, and the ticket is for the entire day, you can hop on and off as often as you want :)
Hope this was helpful
