Me and a small group of friends went on this tour last month on a sunny Sunday morning – the perfect day to get away from Bucharest, admire the Transylvanian countryside and learn a bit more about Bran & Peles castles. Even though traffic was a bit hectic that weekend, our guide & driver kept us entertained with a lot of interesting facts about the history of the sites and the surroundings.
Later during the day, he had a funny way of presenting Bran Castle, confronting facts with fiction and the figure of Vlad the Impaler with that of Dracula. The last stop of the day was in Brasov where, after seeing the fortifications and admiring the city from atop the White Tower, we stopped for dinner at a lovely traditional restaurant. It was a very nice day and I would highly recommend this tour!
