I had a great journy through the amazing mountains of iezer papusha which are some of the highest mountains in romania.the area is very wild and all around there is just mountains and forests.the entire ridge was covered with snow but dan knew very well how to manage and take us through the best tracks.overall it was an awsome expereince and i recommend it to anyone who want to experience the less known and more wild areas of romania,dan is your guy!

Description
We’ll leave Bucharest early in the morning and drive to Câmpulung Muscel, and then to the Voina Hut, which is our starting point for the day. Located near the forest, Voina offers a glimpse of the beautiful Iezer-Păpușa Mountains.
First, we’ll cross the river, go deep into the forest, and then straight into the heart of the mountains. The trail goes uphill, pushing the muscles to the maximum. In around 2 hours we’ll exit the forest and enter a beautiful meadow, where we’ll stop for snacks and some photos. This place is so peaceful that it will inspire you to dream…
Yep, now we’re surrounded by 2000-metre peaks, deep forest, and alpine vegetation.
Time flies when you’re having a good time. It flies so fast that you won’t even notice when we reach a nice vantage point from where you can admire the highest peaks in Iezer. The view is breathtaking!
Now we’re on a ridge and will slowly descend to a gorgeous glacial lake that sits at an altitude of 2135 metres! Can you believe that?
We’ll stop near the lake and then, fully energised and happy, head back to the Voina Hut.
We’ll return to Bucharest in the evening.
