Day 1: Peleș Castle, Bran Castle, and the city of Brașov
We’ll start our journey towards the mountain region, stopping in the resort town of Sinaia to visit the marvellous Peleș Castle and the enchanting Sinaia Monastery. We’ll then move on to another remarkable monument: Dracula’s Castle.
Afterwards, we’ll arrive in one of Romania’s most beautiful cities: Brașov. It was built by the Saxons and is home to Romania’s biggest Gothic church, the Black Church. We’ll spend the night in Brașov.
Day 2: the Transfăgărășan highway
After breakfast, we’ll head towards the Făgăraș Mountains, the highest of the Romanian Carpathians. We’ll drive along Romania's most beautiful road, the Transfăgărășan. According to Top Gear, it’s the best road in the world!
Next, we’ll continue our tour to the northern regions of the Argeș county and stop at the foot of the Poenari Citadel, a stronghold that became famous due as a result of the Dracula legend.
At the end of the day we’ll drive back to Bucharest and drop you off at your accommodation.
Please note that the Peleș Castle is closed on Mondays, so we’ll visit Râșnov Citadel instead.
